Biography

I was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am the son of an Air Conditioning and Heating Contractor. My mother was an operator for Southwestern Bell.

We moved to a farm in Okmulgee when I was 9. My life at that time was about 1/3 farm work, 1/3 school work and 1/3 gopher for my dad on service calls.

As a junior in High School I decided that after graduation I would join the Air Force. The recruiter had commented that “If I joined the Air Force, I would see the world,” two weeks after graduation I was off to boot camp. Eventually, being stationed at Tinker AFB in 1982 – all stateside travels. So much for seeing the world.

After fulfilling my 4year commitment as an aircraft mechanic, “crew chief” on AWACS, I received my Airframe and Powerplant license. I worked about 2 years at Wiley Post, about 2 years at Will Rogers Airport as a mechanic. In 1989 I started my civil service at Tinker. Back to Tinker, but this time as a civilian mechanic on KC-135s. I went to school during the evenings for 18 months to receive the classroom training aspect of my air conditioning and heating trade.

I left Tinker and started “Rinehart Air Conditioning and Heating,” business in 1995.

While on the Oklahoma City Council or as your County Commissioner, I have fought for the best interests of the Taxpayers on a daily basis. Virtual hand-to-hand combat defending traditional family values and your Taxpayers dollars is what I had promised.
